HaTS

Hats:

There are various types of hats… Baseball hats, hippie hats, sombrero hats, and then fashionable hats. I feel as if hats have always been on the border line. Sometimes people think hats will be fashionable, and they end up looking stupid. If your questioning weather a hat will look good with an outfit… better safe than sorry. Baseball hats. The majority of baseball caps are designed for men to wear, however some women wear baseball hats. I suggest that when wanting to go casual this would be the only time you wear a hat. At least for women. For men on the other hand, baseball hats are always in style. Another style for men are the “state” hats. For example the ones that have “NY” on them, or NC for North Carolina. Young men and teens usually will wear their hats cocked to the side, backwards, or to the front. Also depending on the style, some men like to turn their bills in so that there is a curve, or keep the bills straight and flip the bill up. Usually the baseball hats are the bills turned inward, and the “state” hate are straight and flipped upwards. One suggestion with hats, is try to make your hats match your shoes. This is more directed towards the men. For men, when going out for a night on the town try to make sure your hat is clean cut. What I mean by this is make sure its not your favorite worn out hat. However keep in mind that if going out, many places have a dress code that will not allow hats. If this is the case and you are wearing one when out, it is ok to put your hat in your back pocket. Now back to women. If ever going out for an evening out on the town try not to wear hats unless it’s a hat party. Depending on the event depends on whether or not you should wear a hat. I’d say its okay to wear a hat if you are going to a house party or anything that isn’t a club. Tips on what type of hats to wear, I would say the only thing that you shouldn’t wear is anything that makes your ears look large, and a sombrero. Girls you can wear your hair in pony tails with fashionable hats. Also a tip, maybe try a side pony for kicks. It will take away the allusion of having no hair. Also here a rule: once you put a hat on, it’s on for the whole night. Never take your hat off if your out for the night, you will have hat head…. So if you really want to go out in that hat, make sure 1- it coordinates with your outfit, 2- it’s comfortable to wear for numerous hours. Girls who wear hat for the casual look, try to pick a feminine hat. I have a pink hat that says corona on it. It’s cute but at the same time covers my week old unwashed hair and still gives the casual look. Also try to remember to make your hat match your outfit. Even if your just wearing it casually. I say a perfect event for wearing a hat is the grocery store. If you never wear hats, try wearing one out to the store one day. Unless your one of those women who hats just look bad on. This applies vise versa, if you wear hats daily, try not wearing a hat, even if you love hats to death. There’s 365 days a year, try doing something new with yourself every day. One word of advice, sometimes there are those hats that just sit on the wrong place of your head. This “wrong place” lies just across your ears. If possible, don’t tuck your ears in, unless it hat makes your ears stick out too far… If this is the case, your gonna have to tuck them inside. Hats are also good for what they were designed for, to keep the sun out… If your going to a basebabll game or something outside and if it’s going to be hot outside, throw a baseball cap on… There’s not much more to say about hats… just make sure that they match and that it’s not a sombrero. If your not sure how it looks on you, ask someone who you think will be honest Hopefully they will let you know if you look stupid or not
